Yes

Insisting on a ceasefire is the same as siding with Hamas. Israel should be accountable for civilizian casualties, but the U.S. should not hamstring Israel by supporting a ceasefire that will prolong the presence of Hamas in Gaza.

 @9LQV6ZSfrom Guam disagreed…6 days6D

Hamas attacked Israel. Hamas is a TERRORIST organization. We all know if someone attacked the US, UK, France, etc and killed people, war would happen. So why is it that when Israel is attacked, people think it is okay and want the war to stop. No ceasefire unless Hamas is eradicated. Anyone who supports Hamas is supporting terrorists.

 @9LQDZ34Republican from Louisiana disagreed…1wk1W

They are fighting for other countries freedom just like we fought for our freedom, it gives then the same chance we did.

  @JW-StamperConstitution  from Wisconsin disagreed…4wks4W

Hamas attacked Israel. Hamas was voted into power and until there is an unconditional surrender that allows Israel to exist, the fight is not over. It would only be delayed until Hamas regains military strength.

No

A ceasefire now would undermine the reason why Israel went into Gaza in the first place. It would not just enable Hamas to remain, making a statement to the entire world that the West is now officially too worried about optics to actually defend its own interests, distant as they may be; it would also guarantee an even larger conflict at a later time. I don't think there is a good solution to this conflict, but I would prefer for common sense and humanity to prevail in protecting innocent civilians while bringing ideologically motivated terrorists to justice. I will add that the only reason the world has a problem with what Israel is doing is because of who Israel is.

We are currently winning, after we won our complete freedom we were able to become one of the most successful countries.

 @9KHG9NT from North Carolina disagreed…2mos2MO

Violence breeds violence. Enough is enough. Israel has been slowly committing genocide since its inception and because there has been no permanent ceasefire/continued US military and political support, and thousands of families have been murdered and wiped out, they are better positioned than ever to carry out their ultimate goal of complete invasion and settlement of Palestinian lands and territories.

 @9KDFWF6 from Texas answered…2mos2MO

Until security is put in place to stop terrorist attacks from occurring by the hamas rulers, then no.

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia disagreed…2mos2MO

The October 7th attack happened from one massive intelligence failure that’s been heavily scrutinized by their own government, so that’s far less of a worry now. Security systems have been in place for decades, that’s why they have a literal AUTOMATED FENCE that kills unidentified individuals trying to leave Gaza.

 @9LRMSKM from Maryland answered…6 days6D

No, but a temporary ceasefire to negotiate freeing all hostages and transport Hamas to another Arab country.

 @9LR72D4 from California answered…6 days6D

No, We should just blow Gaza up, to tell them there not winning there fighting just to loose more and more. This is what happens when you kidnap Americans.

 @9LR296C from Maryland answered…6 days6D

No Hamas Is a terriost orgnization and Isreal is doing what any country would do if it was attacked. However there should be more civilian aid.

 @9LMQYYW from New Mexico answered…2wks2W

Yes, but I have no say in what conflict is between Hamas and Israel due to lacking information. Death is bad.

 @9LL66PN from Georgia answered…2wks2W

well it depends because of course i would want to stop the fight but if it is going to affect the U.S then i would disagree.

 @9CNWMJTIndependent  from Texas answered…3mos3MO

I support the idea that diplomatic talks should happen to end the conflict, although the attacks by Hamas were started during a previous ceasefire. I don't think a permanent ceasefire will happen unless either Israel or Hamas wipes out the other.

 @9JWTBMD from Pennsylvania answered…3mos3MO

Our country should worry about the affairs of our own country and be less involved in foreign affairs

 @9JWT7XL from Texas answered…3mos3MO

Negotiations must occur and for that to happen a ceasefire will the necessary but tight restrictions to keep everyone safe is important

 @9JVSRH2 from New York answered…3mos3MO

Both sides of this war are not innocent, and I worry that many people paint it to be black and white. A ceasefire may temporarily end the violence, but the fundamental problem still remains unsolved.

 @9JMPZ2X from Nevada answered…3mos3MO

Again, none of our business. We should not, as a government, directly support either side. If any actions are to be taken against either side, it should be economical in response to actions that don't align with our country's values.

 @9JMPGYP from North Carolina answered…3mos3MO

Only if Hamas loses power and Palestine transitions to secular democracy with full renunciation of violence against Jews.

 @9JMNYWBRepublican from Michigan answered…3mos3MO

This depends on if it could be negotiated peacefully and with both sides reaching some kind of argeement.

 @93YTZJYDemocrat  from California answered…3mos3MO

Yes, but make it temporary, and when it ends, it makes sure that Israel should continue its military operations while minimizing civilian casualties until Hamas ceases to exist, and also releasing the remaining hostages if a humanitarian pause is possible.

 @9JL5HV5from Maine answered…3mos3MO

A humanitarian pause or ceasefire is an adequate position to be held, whatever can allow for negotations to allow for long term peace.

 @9JL2S88Republican  from Minnesota answered…3mos3MO

I believe we should keep away from anything that doesn't involve the United States as we should more focus on ourselves.

 @9JL3Y6M from North Carolina answered…3mos3MO

No, there should be a temporary ceasefire and a meeting between ambassadors of both parties to find a solution.

 @9LKDQMJ from Illinois answered…2wks2W

I say just let Israel deal with it and support them with equipment, just think how would we feel if the UK supported Bin Laden after 9/11.

 @9LK98X3 from South Dakota answered…2wks2W

With the permanent ceasefire enemy combatants can use it as a loop hole for a tactical advantage so no, not exactly do I support it.

 @Tiger-ADemocrat from New York answered…2wks2W

I support Israel and it's war in Gaza. However I believe the invasion should only be from drone strikes. I do not support Israel sending ground troops to invade Gaza.

 @9LGHFVG from California answered…3wks3W

No, and the US should begin to adopt an Insular State policy. Our involvement in foreign social and political affairs has become unsustainable.

 @9CS5VKRSocialist from Washington answered…3wks3W

Yes

Isreal has been committing non stop war crimes they need to be stopped

 @9L7R77L  from VI answered…1mo1MO

Of course. No one should suffer from the horrors of war, and this applies to both Israel and Palestine equally

 @9L5DQM3Independent from Virgin Islands answered…1mo1MO

Yes. No country, whether it's Israel or Palestine, should have to suffer from the disastrous impact of war

  @LucidLibertarian  from Oregon answered…1mo1MO

No, our government should go back to being non-interventionist when it comes to the affairs of other nations.

 @9L538S4 from Washington answered…1mo1MO

Yes, and the government must immediately stop funding the Israeli military, instead funding aid to Ukraine

 @9L4V63S from Texas answered…1mo1MO

Israel has a right to defend itself, but should take more precautions to prevent civilian casualties.

 @9L2K2BVDemocrat from Georgia answered…1mo1MO

It's not our government's right to interfere in another country's war, but we should help the Palestinians with food and aid

 @9L25QM5Republican from Virginia answered…1mo1MO

Yes on the condition of a return of all civilians and immediate work to begin on permanent peace talks

 @9KW9J55 from Maryland answered…2mos2MO

Yes, and send arms to Palestinian resistance if Israel does not abide by said ceasefire. Also impose heavy sanctions on Israel until they agree to demilitarize and hand over the land they stole going back to 1948.

 @9KV4SX2Republicanfrom Maine answered…2mos2MO

They can call for it but they two countries will be fighting for ever. Really need to keep out of it.

 @9KQ8MY9 from Colorado answered…2mos2MO

I think Isreal has overstepped its right to defend itself. I do not support a cease fire, but Isreal should be forced to change tactics immediately to limit casualties to civilians.

 @9KND5PJ from Missouri answered…2mos2MO

what is our government going to do about GAZA? it doesn't matter.. there will be wars and fighting in that area until the end of time. you have two groups that want the same land.. it won't end.

 @9KLLSFBRepublican  from Florida answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but only once peace talks are consistently held and an agreement between the conflicting countries has been reached.

 @9KL2GQ3from Vermont answered…2mos2MO

I support a permanant cessefire where the Palestinian authority control Gaza and the Hamas is dissolved and Israel retreat from gaza

 @9KG3JMD from Minnesota answered…2mos2MO

Yes, and no. I believe that this can be solved without more death, and therefore a ceasefire would be preferred, but that would mean we actually started talking about the issues between Gaza and Israel and sit down to fix them. So, yes, if we're prepared to address the problem and not just deal with the aftermath, but no if we're not.

 @9KCS2Y4 from New York answered…2mos2MO

Hamas will never keep their word on a ceasefire, so this would be a bad idea for Israeli citizens. The only way to end this is to eliminate the terrorist group.

 @9KDWFWSfrom Maine answered…2mos2MO

A ceasefire is of little use as long as Hamas still exists. Why should Israel make peace with an organisation, which wants to eradicate them?

 @9KDV7QW from Missouri answered…2mos2MO

A permanent ceasefire doesn't solve the problem, it just stalls it. The government should be trying to help both sides find a middle ground
