How would your perspective on environmental conservation change if it were entirely driven by non-governmental organizations?

I would be excited if private organizations cared enough to do environmental conservation., but I don't think it would be enough, and the government needs to set regulations to help private organizations so they can better make a change.

Elected officials always say that they will do something about climate change, but then when they are elected nothing seems to be done about it. We need people who actually care about the planet and the people on it.

It would change my perspective not a ton because I feel like people are the cause of most environmental issues and the government should not be responsible for people's actions.

I would think that the government should be able to assist with environmental conservation mainly because they have the resources to protect the environment, along with nourishing it, and making sure poaching is taken down.
